Nine parts. One line that holds.
Select any part to see what it does, and how it fails.
Marked parts are the most common faults.
Part 1 of 9
Energizer
The box that turns mains, battery or solar power into a short high-voltage pulse, about one a second. Everything else on the fence exists to carry that pulse or to stop it leaking away.
When it goes wrong
Rarely the actual fault. Before suspecting it, disconnect the fence wire and test the energizer on its own — if it pulses, the problem is out on the line.
